Description & Requirements
Bloomberg is looking for a driven reporter to break news in the structured finance markets, with a specific focus on the rapidly growing world of asset-based finance. You will be responsible for breaking news on current and upcoming deals in that market as well as new products and key regulatory changes. You'll work with a larger group of reporters that are chronicling the expansion of private markets as well as more traditional financial products including mortgage bonds, collateralized loan obligations and asset-backed securities. The ideal candidate will have skills in developing sources, breaking news, and identifying the biggest trends in finance.
We'll expect you to:
- Break news on asset-based finance and other structured credit deals while building market sources that help you connect the dots
- Be comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment
- Be innovative and think creatively about ways to reach both the market pros as well as a broader audience of business-savvy readers
You'll need:
- Previous experience in financial journalism or credit markets
- Ability to write quickly and clearly under deadline pressure
- An ability to spot trends, find holes in stories and work with reporters to deliver impactful news to our readers

Salary Range = 90,000 - 120,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
