Description
We are currently on the lookout for a seasoned senior loan processor to join our high-tech mortgage lending team. Our ideal candidate should bring years of hands-on experience in mortgage processing, coupled with a proactive outlook and a proven history of delivering effective solutions within the mortgage lending realm. The Senior Processor role entails the acquisition and meticulous organization of loan documents, credit records, appraisals, and other essentials to ensure the completion of loan portfolios. Beyond this, the role involves the systematic management and updating of records and files for the smooth processing of each loan, with a strong focus on accuracy and comprehensive data entry. Additionally, there might be occasions where compiling credit reports and purchase contracts will be necessary.
This role offers remote flexibility and working hours of 8 am to 5 pm MST.
Projected annual compensation: $50,000 - $120,000
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handling a pipeline encompassing 20-50 loans
  • Conducting reviews of new files within 24 business hours
  • Ensuring timely closure of each and every loan
  • Developing and sustaining an understanding of company policies, secondary market criteria, and regulatory mandates concerning credit/security standards within the spectrum of conventional, government, and self-employed loan prerequisites
  • Remaining informed and up-to-date on shifts in policies, criteria, and regulations relevant to the specific work unit
  • Applying comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations that pertain to the mortgage loan processing landscape
  • Skillfully identifying and effectively addressing challenges in a prompt, unbiased, and confidential manner
  • Demonstrating advanced expertise in intricate mortgage loan processing, associated documentation, and the intricate underwriting guidelines
  • Stepping in as a reliable troubleshooter for complex loans, effectively liaising between Loan Originators, clients, and lending institutions
  • Ensuring the accuracy of Form 1003 through meticulous review
  • Conducting pre-underwriting assessments for all loans to guarantee the availability of the necessary supporting documentation
  • Requesting routine supplementary documentation from loan applicants as needed
  • Collaborating with Loan Originators, lenders, and closing agents to coordinate closing dates and venues
  • Adhering diligently to stipulated timelines and follow-up procedures for loans listed in the Pipeline
  • Efficiently managing clients and the loan pipeline to consistently meet contractual deadlines
  • Serving as an effective intermediary between sales and underwriting, thereby preserving the integrity of the loans in question
  • Delivering exceptional client service throughout the process, culminating in favorable survey ratings and referrals from satisfied clients, friends, and family members
  • Adhering to business hours of 8-5 MST
  • Thriving within a fast-paced professional environment
  • Offering weekly verbal and email updates to all clients in your pipeline from Monday to Friday

Essential Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Loan Origination Software (LOS), and Automated Underwriting System (AUS) is a notable advantage
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience with a mortgage company, mortgage banker, or mortgage lender as a mortgage loan processor is a prerequisite
  • A robust understanding of various residential mortgage loans such as FNMA, FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional is an absolute necessity; familiarity with Commercial and HELOC loans is an additional asset
  • Comprehensive familiarity with the mortgage industry, particularly federal and state regulatory stipulations, is pivotal
