JOB SUMMARY

The Employee is responsible for efficiently processing and closing residential mortgage loans on a monthly basis, maintaining a pipeline that meets or exceeds minimum production requirements. This role requires the secure and accurate collection and management of all loan documentation, ensuring timely and compliant closings in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Additionally, the Employee will provide guidance and training to new or underperforming processors, supporting their understanding of systems, workflows, and best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 5+ years of mortgage lending or related experience

  • Proficient in spoken and written English

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with changing priorities

  • Ability to work overtime as needed

  • Comfortable with prolonged computer work and occasional lifting (up to 15 lbs)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a secure environment for processing loan files.

  • Procure and verify credit-related documentation, including employment, assets, rental history, credit reports, and other required verifications.

  • Research and resolve account issues for customers as needed.

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors (appraisal, title, insurance, etc.) to obtain necessary documentation for loan approval.

  • Review documentation and provide conditions for loan approvals in compliance with underwriting guidelines, including borrower, credit, and collateral documentation.

  • Analyze and interpret financial data in accordance with industry standards and parameters.

  • Utilize loan origination systems (LOS) and automated underwriting systems (AUS) for loan tracking and processing.

  • Provide administrative and operational support to management and loan officers as needed.

  • Ensure all required disclosures (state, federal, and company-specific) are provided to clients in a timely manner.

  • Report any potential misrepresentation or fraudulent activity to the Branch Manager or Processing Supervisor.

  • Communicate all issues affecting loan processing and approval to the applicable loan officer.

  • Collaborate with underwriting and closing departments to maintain quality and efficiency in loan submissions.

  • Suggest improvements to loan processing systems and workflows to the Processing Manager when appropriate.

  • Assist in problem-solving to ensure the successful closing of residential loans.

  • Manage loan pipeline effectively to ensure timely closings, maintaining a 90% or higher COE (Close of Escrow) success ratio.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
