Job description

Immersion Consulting is seeking a Senior HPE Morpheus Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture, governance, and strategic evolution of an enterprise automation and orchestration platform supporting a U.S. Government customer. In this role, you will define platform standards, design scalable automation frameworks, and partner closely with customer engineering, security, and operations leadership to drive enterprise-wide adoption.
The primary objective of this role is to architect and guide the deployment of a secure, compliant, and highly scalable HPE Morpheus Enterprise platform across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, enabling repeatable, policy-driven automation for mission-critical workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Strategy
  • Architect end-to-end HPE Morpheus Enterprise solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud
  • Define reference architectures, automation patterns, and design standards for enterprise-scale orchestration
  • Develop platform roadmaps aligned to mission requirements, security constraints, and cloud adoption goals
Automation Frameworks & Lifecycle Design
  • Design scalable:
    • Provisioning blueprints
    • Automation workflows
    • Lifecycle and day-2 operation frameworks
  • Establish reusable automation modules and catalog standards to support rapid onboarding and consistent outcomes
  • Ensure solutions are API-driven, extensible, and aligned with Infrastructure-as-Code principles
Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Define and enforce enterprise standards for:
    • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
    • Tagging and cost attribution
    • Approval workflows
    • Policy-driven provisioning and teardown
  • Ensure platform alignment with:
    • FIPS compliance requirements
    • System security hardening standards (e.g., STIGs, NIST)
    • Zero Trust security principles
  • Partner with security stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are embedded into automation design
Integration Leadership
  • Lead integration strategy across enterprise systems, including:
    • IT Service Management (ServiceNow)
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Monitoring and observability platforms
    • Identity and Access Management systems
  • Oversee cloud and virtualization integrations with:
    • AWS
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Guide API-based integration patterns to support enterprise scalability and maintainability
Assessment, Planning & Optimization
  • Conduct platform assessments to evaluate readiness, gaps, and optimization opportunities
  • Lead capacity planning, performance analysis, and scalability modeling
  • Develop phased implementation plans and maturity roadmaps
Leadership, Mentorship & Advisory
  • Act as a trusted architecture advisor to client leadership and technical stakeholders
  • Mentor engineers and consultants, guiding cross-team implementation and adherence to standards
  • Partner with customer and Immersion leadership to define:
    • Automation strategy
    • Success metrics and KPIs
    • Adoption and governance models

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
  • 7-10+ years of experience in:
    • Cloud architecture
    • DevOps engineering
    • Automation platform leadership
  • Deep expertise with HPE Morpheus Enterprise or equivalent Cloud Management Platforms (CMPs)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise cloud architecture across:
    • AWS (including GovCloud)
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
    • Google Cloud Platform
  • Proven experience designing:
    • Automation frameworks
    • Scalable provisioning architectures
    • API-driven integrations
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-engagement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to translate mission and business requirements into secure, enterprise-grade technical architecture
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal, defense, or highly regulated customers
