News Channel 20/FOX Illinois has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Morning News Anchor. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can greet audiences each morning with a smile and help start their days out right. The ideal candidate will be well versed in news of the day as well as ongoing stories. This person will be able to handle a variety of different topics appropriately and engage with their co-anchors as well as the audience. If you love morning news, this is the position for you. You will reach audiences daily on ABC and FOX, as well as our digital platforms. Dynamic live television and storytelling skills are a must.

Skills and Experience:

  • A strong on-air presence with the ability to interact with co-anchors and the audience
  • Ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and solicit original story ideas

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Previous anchoring experience is required
  • Live shot experience is required
  • Previous experience working in a team environment is a must
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
