Position Summary
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Morehouse School of Medicine seeks a noninvasive cardiologist board eligible or board certified for academic appointment with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient clinical services, education, and research primarily at the Grady Hospital Heart and Vascular Center, Atlanta. Successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership role in the expansion of clinical services for the Grady Heart and Vascular Center working with cardiac APPs, cardiology fellows and residents. Level II training in advanced imaging is desirable but not mandatory.
Compensation consists of competitive salary with opportunity for RVU-based incentive bonus, health insurance, paid CME, retirement plan and 4 weeks of paid vacation.
Grady Hospital Health System is one of the largest public academic programs in the United States, situated in downtown, Atlanta. It has over 600 hospital beds, nationally accredited Level 1 Trauma Center and is the major provider of emergency ambulance service in the metro-Atlanta region. It has state of the art cardiac catheterization and dedicated electrophysiology laboratories, hybrid room and a 24/7 STEMI program.
Atlanta is a dynamic cosmopolitan southern city with one of the busiest airports in the United States, has beautiful weather all year round and a vibrant economy. Atlanta is home to multiple prominent national professional sports teams and NCAA Division 1 teams with A+ public and private schools.
