Job description

This position is located within Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in support of the Sailing/Marina program. This position is located on Naval Station Norfolk base.Qualifications:Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs.
A qualified candidate must possess:
Must possess knowledge of boating terminology, operation, maintenance, water and boating safety, and handling of boats (launching, mooring, etc.) with a minimum of one year related work experience in a marina environment. Ability to handle small powerboats in light to moderate conditions. Skill in the use of basic hand tools to perform minor maintenance and repair. Must be a mature individual with documented leadership abilities, who can exercise control over groups of people to ensure good order and discipline as necessary. Must possess fluent command of the English language and be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Must be skilled in customer service techniques, tact and good judgment.Education:This position does not have a positive education requirement.Employment Type: OTHER
