Job description

MINIMALLY INVASIVE GYNECOLOGIC SURGERY PHYSICIAN

THE DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY AND WOMEN’S HEALTH 

THE POSITION: The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health is seeking a dynamic Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Physician to join the faculty of Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore. He/She will join a very busy and expanding Division of  6 Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeons, providing diagnosis and management of complex gynecologic conditions using advanced endoscopic and robotic surgical procedures. 

The Division offers services at multiple clinical and hospital locations, including Montefiore Hospital, Montefiore Wakefield Hospital, Montefiore Hutchinson, and Weiler Hospital, with plans to expand into the Westchester locations. The Division hosts a two-year AAGL/SRS accredited Fellowship Program in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). 

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will be a Board Certified physician and be able to obtain a New York Medical License. He/She will possess superior clinical, surgical and teaching skills, one who directs and inspires by example, and one who is strongly committed to the mission, philosophy and values of Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. The candidate will be an actively practicing, Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist with additional qualifications in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He/She should have both the drive and ability to build upon existing strengths and grow MIGS services at Montefiore from the perspectives of clinical service, education and clinical research. The candidate will be a mentor and a collaborator who has demonstrated leadership qualities and personal style that promotes clinical excellence. 

The candidate must possess superior communications skills and enjoy excellent interpersonal relationships with professional staff, medical colleagues and referring physicians, and administration. He/she must be clinically driven, self-motivated, exceptionally competent, honest and hardworking.
