A Day in the Life:
Monster Energy Company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Treasury Accountant to join its accounting/reporting team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and centralize treasury-related accounting activities across our APAC/OCEANIA/LATAM operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing intercompany agreements and settlements, supporting regional treasury accounting, and collaborating with finance teams.
The Impact You'll Make:
Intercompany & Global Operations
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany agreements and settlements across Monster Energy's global entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of intercompany transactions in line with group policies.
  • Liaise with international finance teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Support the accounting and settlement of global management services agreements, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies and local regulations.
  • Account for intercompany funding structures, including equity injections, loans, and capital repatriations.
  • Ensure proper withholding calculations and payments of intercompany/foreign payments.
  • Track and record withholding certificates across APAC/OCEANIA/LATAM.

Treasury Accounting Support
  • Assist the treasury team with all treasury-related accounting across OCEANIA, LATAM, and APAC regions.
  • Prepare and monitor treasury-related journal entries including FX, interest, and cash movements.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting packs.
  • Contribute to treasury-related statutory and management reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of investment activities, including short-term deposits, money market instruments, and other financial assets.
  • Track and report on investment performance and compliance with internal investment policies.
  • Support the accounting of letters of credit, bank guarantees, and other local credit facilities, particularly in less liquid or emerging markets.
  • Ensure proper documentation and accounting treatment of trade finance instruments.
Function Setup & Transition
  • Collaborate with AP and financial accounting teams.
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of treasury accounting policies and procedures.
Who You Are:
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CPA, CMA, CIA, or Enrolled Agent).
  • Experience in treasury accounting, intercompany transactions, and financial control.
  • Strong understanding of FX, cash management, financial instruments, and investment accounting.
  • Familiarity with letters of credit, guarantees, and local banking practices in emerging markets.
  • Excellent Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
