Job Description

Schedule: CDL Driver assigned to 1st shift, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with weekend work available upon request based on business needs.

Position Overview:

Using a tractor and trailer combination or straight truck, the employee will move ingredients, packaging, supplies, and finished goods from and to other facilities or outside sources. The employee will deliver finished goods to customers or cold storage facilities and pick up raw materials, packaging, and supplies from vendors. The employee will occasionally use a forklift, motorized pallet jack, or pallet jack to load and unload ingredients, packaging, supplies, and finished goods. The employee will also move and accurately record the movement of raw materials, packaging, supplies, and finished goods to and from the warehouse, freezer, cooler, and production lines at both production facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a neat and organized work area.
  • Assist in the training of new employees.
  • Work with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency daily.
  • Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as provided.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.

Specific Duties:

  • Uses a tractor and trailer combination or straight truck.
  • Fully trained on the loading dock and at satellite warehouses
  • Move raw materials, packaging, supplies, and finished goods to and from the truck, trailer, warehouse, freezer, and cooler.
  • Load and unload ingredients, packaging, and supplies from other facilities or outside sources.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate the movement of trailers in the drop lots
  • Deliver finished goods to customers.
  • Pick up raw materials, packaging, and supplies from vendors.
  • Perform daily checks.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must have a valid company insurable Class "A" Commercial Driver's License
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; round decimals to the nearest whole number; measure and input numbers to calculate correct formulas.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, fingers, and arms to handle, feel, and reach.
  • The employee must frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 110 pounds.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme cold; wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • Employees must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for employment at Monogram Foods
  • This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

Work Environment: Driving outside Ambient temperatures. Work alone. May use forklift, motorized pallet jack, and pallet jack

Personal Protective Equipment: Safety shoes as needed.
