Job description

Job Description We are looking for a hands-on Tool & Die Supervisor to lead a team of Tool & Die Makers in an automotive manufacturing environment. This position will supervise daily activities while also working directly on tooling, repairs, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is an experienced Tool & Die Maker who enjoys working on the floor, leading people, solving problems, and keeping production running efficiently.

Responsibilities Lead, train, and support a team of Tool & Die Makers. Assign daily work and monitor team performance. Build, repair, maintain, and modify dies, tools, and fixtures.

Troubleshoot tooling and production problems. Work hands-on with the team to complete repairs and improvements. Read blueprints, drawings, and GD&T.

Use precision measuring equipment and machining tools. Support production during tooling and equipment issues. Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance on tooling.

Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams. Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. Maintain tooling records and communicate maintenance needs.

Identify opportunities to improve tooling, quality, and productivity. Enforce company safety, quality, and work standards. Qualifications 5+ years of Tool & Die experience preferred.

Previous supervisory or lead experience with direct reports. Automotive manufacturing and stamping experience preferred. Strong knowledge of dies, tooling, machining, and repairs.

Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T. Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working with machining and tool room equipment.

Strong leadership and communication skills. Willingness to be hands-on and work alongside the team.
