Overview
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Study Hall Monitor will help with:

• Checking in/out student athletes
• Monitoring students
• Finding resources on campus
• Dealing with athletes being disruptive

Responsibilities

• Open and close the BDAC study lounge at designated times (see below)
• Monitor check-in/check-out for all student-athletes entering the Library and Learning Center
• Assist in the maintenance of an effective learning space in LLC
• Help guide students to tutoring/writing center
• Help student-athletes navigate the university systems used for education
• Submit nightly report to Supervisor following the end of study hall to outline any concerns
• Follow all rules and policies of athletic and library staff
• Maintain good standing regarding the Student Code of Conduct
• Coordinate with supervisors and other monitors on a weekly basis

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

• Must have attended at least some college to the level of Sophomore
• Maintain a 3.5 semester and overall grade point average

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous USU college student familiar with Banner, Canvas, MyUSU, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
• Cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse population

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is seated the duration of their shift and regularly required to use repetitive hand motions (such as typing).
