It is the primary responsibility of the Money Room Manager to perform all duties in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures


Schedule

In this role, your primary schedule will be 4:00pm-midnight


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations and departmental performance consistent with the strategies and vision of the property.
  • Monitor staffing levels and ensure effective use of labor while delivering required service.
  • Manage Human Resources responsibilities to include creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the companyโ€™s diversity commitment; compliance with company and department policies, and legal requirements.
  • Oversee all counts and drops performed.
  • Perform end-of-day reconciliation of all teller windows, mutuel machines, and cash drawers
  • Issue, track, and reconcile cashier/teller banks before, during, and after racing
  • Distribute all count-related reports to accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with the Gaming Commission minimum internal controls and regulations.
  • Develop and update departmental training manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental and overall property policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all job activities and job duties are performed within the established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Generate reports and verifies all data.
  • Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Develop and foster an environment of teamwork and interdepartmental cooperation.

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States


Education

  • Associates degree in a related field Preferred

Work Experience

  • 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Preferred
  • 5+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience of Management experience Preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting Preferred
  • Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff; understand and comply with all gaming, company and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to access the computer via the computer keyboard and also operate 10-key calculator, to access all areas of the facility.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms
