Seeking CoPacker (1st shift) Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Benefit Spotlight: At Ken's Foods, we manufacture Ken's Salad dressing and Sweet Baby Ray's barbeque sauce. The process from following the recipe, creating the products using established specifications and quality processes, packaging into retail and food service containers, and shipping the product to our customers is all handled under our roof. SUMMARY
The Co Packer is responsible for preparing finished products to be packaged and shipped. The associates are stationed at an assigned area in the warehouse, where they retrieve items as needed from inventory stock to complete various display builds. Their objective is to focus on the improvement of the processes to ensure the customer needs are being met in a timely fashion, while maintaining high-quality, cost-effective logistics services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Understanding the machine operations and using safety precautions when the machine is in operation (pinch points, sealer, heater, moving conveyor). Manual labor, e.g., stacking, lifting, bending, building trays/flaps, and banding required.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate standards and systems to monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality and facility cleanliness
  • Build multiple display pallets using finished good product onto or from pallets trays, racks, and shelves according to the established design.
  • Load packaging materials into machine
  • Apply labels to finished good pallets
  • Reprocess any raw material and packaging items for display builds.
  • Shrink wrap and label all finished display pallets with identifying information.
  • Sweep, dust, and mop work areas.
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
  • Ensure work area is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
  • Follow order fulfillment to end to ensure a successful and timely conclusion.
  • Operate manual pallet jack and electric pallet stacker
  • General housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work with chemicals and cleaning products

FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ship product free of contamination.
  • Follow all Ken's Foods Security and GMP policies.
  • Report any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the facility.
  • Inspect work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis.
  • Report any leaking or spilled product immediately.
  • Inspect all incoming and out-going product for signs of contamination.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent; or 6 months experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and communicate effectively to other employees and Team Leaders.
