(DSN) is seeking a full-time Full Stack Software Engineer - Python & Cloud Applications to join our team at one of our East Peoria, IL, Nashville, TN, or Dallas, TX locations. Position Overview

This role sits within a security team responsible for developing a portal that manages the lifecycle of network connections, with a primary focus on firewall rules and the annual validation workflows tied to their lifecycle maintenance. The Full Stack Software Engineer will work alongside a team of approximately eight professionals, building and supporting automation and reporting applications related to IT network enablement and security posture. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week onsite at one of our East Peoria, IL, Nashville, TN, or Dallas, TX locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the existing automation team to build, extend, and modify reporting applications related to IT network enablement and posture
  • Write code that interacts with databases for CRUD operations
  • Build out API endpoints for customers to query
  • Create and maintain documentation pages
  • Design and construct integrations with other products and endpoints to retrieve data
  • Provide operational support for globally deployed web application solutions
  • Work with customers to understand deployed solutions and assist with their use
  • Attend regularly scheduled stand-up meetings
  • Build new application functionality within an AWS cloud environment
  • Contribute to Agile delivery leveraging AI tools
Candidate RequirementsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer programming, a recognized coding bootcamp, or equivalent training required
  • 2-3 years of corporate experience or comparable required; 3-5 years preferred
Technical Skills – Required
  • In-depth knowledge of Python 3.x development practices, with experience writing and supporting code
  • Ability to perform self-guided code analysis, troubleshooting, and development
  • Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration testing
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and AI-driven development
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Projects, Git, version control, and Agile development
  • Experience with third-party API integration
Technical Skills – Desired
  • Experience implementing and using OAuth for authentication in code
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Code
  • Ability to analyze, write, and execute complex MySQL queries and/or debug AI-generated queries
  • Experience building data models/ORMs to connect Python code with MySQL databases
  • Experience with tiered application architectures
  • Experience with software design patterns
  • Understanding of and experience with Azure Pipelines, Artifacts, and Boards
