CNC Cylindrical Grinder Machinist
Work Arrangement: In-Office, Hamel, MN
1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., or Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.  
2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:25 p.m.-1:55 a.m.

Role Overview
The CNC Cylindrical Grinder Machinist sets up and operates CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders to perform routine and repetitive machining operations. This role produces components that consistently meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards. The Machinist interprets engineering drawings, verifies completed work using appropriate measurement methods, and manages assigned jobs according to established due dates. Success in this role requires technical machining knowledge, accuracy, and timely reporting through the current scheduling system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders to produce components that meet documented requirements.
  • Fabricate new components according to engineering drawings.
  • Verify completed work using appropriate measurement methods and inspection equipment.
  • Perform work in accordance with customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards.
  • Complete assigned jobs according to due dates provided through the scheduling system.
  • Report job status and progress using the current scheduling system.

What You Bring
  • Two-year Machine Tool diploma or degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to set up CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders.
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Ability to verify work using various measurement methods.
  • Basic computer skills.

Compensation
$25.00-$36.00/hour, plus a $1.50/hour shift premium for second shift. Signing bonus of up to $6,000 is available, depending on shift.
