Description
The Food Service & Delivery Aide supports Senior Programs by safely transporting meals, assisting with food preparation and packing, maintaining food safety standards, and completing inventory, cleaning, and delivery documentation. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely, accurate, and safe meal service for senior nutrition, Early Childhood, and Summer Food Service programs.
Central Kitchen Operations & Meal Delivery
Estimated Effort: 50%
  • Operate agency vehicles as assigned; may use personal vehicle when agency vehicles are unavailable.
  • Complete daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and report defects, damages, or mechanical issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles, inside and out.
  • Report hazardous road conditions to the Senior Programs Manager.
  • Assist with loading and unloading meals and containers at the central kitchen.
  • Pack hot and cold meal components for home-delivered, Early Childhood, and Summer Food Service programs.
  • Prepare hot/cold carriers for assigned meal programs.
  • Deliver home-delivered meals throughout Pike County and surrounding counties within required timeframes.
  • Deliver meals to Early Childhood and Summer Food Service sites and assist with unloading as needed.
  • Pick up and return Early Childhood dishes as assigned.
  • Collect Title III donations and return funds to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain required delivery records in accordance with AAA7 requirements.
  • Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained during delivery routes.
  • Assist with Summer Rural Meals Program Farmers Market activities as assigned.
  • Maintain required certifications and attend mandated training.
  • Perform routine kitchen equipment cleaning and maintenance.
  • Adhere to all food safety guidelines and procedures.
Inventory, Cleaning, and Stocking

  • Maintain cleanliness of meal carriers for home-delivered, Early Childhood, and Summer Food Service programs.
  • Complete Senior Center cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with dish cleaning and sanitization for Early Childhood programs.
  • Assist with stocking supplies and maintaining inventory as directed.
Agency Service
Estimated Effort: 10%
  • Participate in CAC committee assignments and agency service duties as assigned.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and Senior Programs staff.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Job-Related Experience:
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License
  • Clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Insurable under agency policy
  • Completion of required program-related and criminal background checks
