Job description

Universal Analyzers, an AMETEK business, is seeking an Assembly Technician for our Carson City, NV manufacturing site. Universal Analyzers designs and manufactures gas sample extraction and conditioning equipment for continuous emissions monitoring and process measurement applications, including sample probes, gas coolers, sample conditioning systems, and custom-engineered assemblies that deliver conditioned gas samples to analyzers. 

In this role, the Assembly Technician will use work instructions, engineering drawings, and job travelers to:

  • Perform system layout
  • Install components
  • Wire electrical systems
  • Plumb systems using PTFE and/or stainless-steel tubing

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and detailed instructions
  • Assemble electro-mechanical instrumentation and systems
  • Layout and install sample handling/conditioning systems
  • Communicate effectively with Engineering, Quality, and Materials teams
  • Maintain high production standards and quality workmanship
  • Organize work efficiently and maintain a clean, detail-oriented workspace

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficient with standard hand tools (e.g., screw drivers, wrenches, ratchets, hammers, crimpers, and cutting tools, etc.)
  • Proficient in the use of power tools (e.g., drill, grinder, band saw, cutting wheel, chop saw, and similar tools)
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic panel fabrication

  • Flexible start times available after training
  • Shifts begin between 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM, Monday through Friday
  • Full-time, on-site position
