Salary:

We are Atlanta Fibroid Center (also known as Atlanta Interventional Institute), an Interventional Radiology medical practice that specializes in treating Uterine Fibroids, along with several other procedures focused on Womens Health. We are seeking PRN Registered Nurses or LPNs to join our team. The position will provide key clinical care interface between patients, X-ray technicians, medical assistants and patient services staff, working cooperatively to create the highest patient experience. You will assist all staff as directed and work proactively to maintain patient contact and communication for physician follow-up.


Primary function will include:


Conduct individualized patient assessment, prioritizing collection of data based on individual needs and condition.


Conduct ongoing nursing assessment as dictated by the patients condition and in accordance with client facilitys protocols.


Collaborates with other team members in the development, implementation and evaluation of an individualized plan of care.


Performs appropriate treatments and therapies as ordered by physician in an appropriate and timely fashion.


Provides individualized patient and family teaching.


Documents patient assessments, findings and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions


Initiates emergency measures according to adult and patient resuscitation protocols.


Maintains confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).


Provide patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness to that autonomy, rights and dignity are preserved.


Report patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift, as needed based on individualized patient assessment.


Maintain competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements.


Complies with accepted ethical conduct and professional Standards of Nursing Practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent national organization.


Demonstrates ability to delegate effectively and appropriately.


Job Requirements:


Current Georgia Registered Nurse/RN or LPN License (meeting requirements of education from an accredited program/school of nursing).


Maintains RN or LPN certification and licensure as required by the State of Georgia.


Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support/ACLS and Basic Life Support/BLS certification from either an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association/AHA or the American Red Cross.


Minimum of one year paid Registered Nurse/RN or LPN work experience within the past year of direct patient care in a hospital. At least 1 year Critical Care experience (ICU, CCU, or ER).


Possess a caring attitude for dealing with people who are ill, need help/assistance and comforting. Ability and willingness to arrive 15-30 minutes early prior to clinic/patient check-in time and ability to stay late as needed in preparation for next day.


Possess a knowledge and experience with modern office procedures and equipment and medical terminology. Practice management software experience required and EMR experience and/or willingness to learn. Possess accurate data entry skills and understands patient quality programs.


Possess strong oral and written communication skills and exude a friendly and positive attitude.


Possess the tact to deal effectively with patients, physicians and other group employees in a thoughtful and courteous manner and thrive in a team environment.
