Reports To: Senior Director of Operations and Integration
Location: Ponca City, OK
Amount of Travel Required: up to 25%
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Positions Supervised: Pump Integration Leads
POSITION SUMMARY: The Pump Integration Manager oversees all engineering, technical integration, testing, and cross functional coordination required to integrate pump systems into power generation and industrial equipment packages. This role leads pump integration projects from concept through delivery, ensuring mechanical, electrical, control system, and process interfaces are designed, validated, and aligned with customer requirements and industry standards. The Pump Integration Manager works closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure pump systems meet performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may")
  • Lead pump integration activities for power generation equipment, including specification review, design coordination, installation requirements, controls interfaces, and system validation.
  • Manage multiple pump integration projects simultaneously, ensuring schedules, budgets, and performance targets are met.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for pump technologies, including centrifugal, positive displacement, high pressure, and specialty pumps used in industrial and power applications.
  • Provide technical direction to mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers on pump system requirements, performance expectations, and interface specifications.
  • Oversee the development of pump related engineering documentation, including P&IDs, wiring diagrams, mechanical layouts, system flow diagrams, and control logic requirements.
  • Partner with design engineering to ensure pump selections meet hydraulic, thermal, mechanical, and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to support pump installation, alignment, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate pump technologies, review specifications, validate performance data, and support vendor qualification.
  • Coordinate with quality teams on inspection standards, acceptance criteria, and non conformance resolution.
  • Interface with customers during design reviews, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), and post delivery technical support.
  • Oversee pump performance testing and verification, including flow, pressure, vibration, noise, and motor compatibility.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for pump performance issues, mechanical failures, vibration problems, cavitation, control system irregularities, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Provide technical support during FAT, SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and commissioning-both internally and customer facing.
  • Ensure pump systems comply with applicable industry standards (API, ISO, ASME, IEEE, etc.).
  • Identify and address quality issues related to pump integration, component performance, or system interactions.
  • Drive corrective actions, implement process improvements, and refine integration protocols.
  • Maintain adherence to all safety, environmental, and health policies related to rotating equipment and system integration.
  • Develop best practices for pump installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to engineers and technicians involved in pump integration activities.
  • Train staff on pump systems, integration processes, diagnostic methods, and safety protocols.
  • Support resource planning, workload management, and skills development for pump related competencies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s) including pre-employment Pulmonary Function Test (PFT.)
  • Daily in-person, predictable attendance in Ponca City, OK.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline required. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of engineering experience in pump systems, rotating equipment, or power generation equipment.
  • Experience leading integration activities for mechanical or electro mechanical systems required.
  • Project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, power generation systems, or heavy industrial equipment is highly desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong knowledge of pump types, pump curves, hydraulic calculations, NPSH, cavitation, and pump selection criteria.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting P&IDs, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and control diagrams.
  • Understanding of industrial control systems, VFDs, instrumentation, and system automation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot pump performance issues and lead root cause investigations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers, vendors, and cross functional internal teams.
  • Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, engineering software, and ERP systems.
  • Leadership capabilities with strong organization, planning, and execution skills.

Given these conditions employees may be required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies.
