Position Overview

Power your Future with Qualus in our Digital Solutions department as a Senior Project Engineer. As a Senior Project Engineer you will play a pivotal role in large scale system integration programs and take on the delivery of ADMS/OMS system and integration implementations from our leading ADMS/OMS software partners. You will also be providing consulting and project management services to our existing customers on projects involving product installation, integration development, interface support, modeling, application tuning, and system maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all technical aspects of the project including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and execute system build plans accounting for software architecture, information security, and hardware deployment.
  • Work with the Project Manager and provide technical input into the overall project schedule, budget, resource requirements, and risk management.
  • Lead engineering workshops on topics such as system design, data conversion, business process reviews, test, and validation planning, and change management.
  • Installation and configuration of OSI monarch advanced distribution management applications.
  • Design and configure SCADA/GMS/EMS/ADMS/OMS systems to meet the specific needs of our clients.
  • Deploy and integrate SCADA/GMS/EMS/ADMS/OMS systems with other equipment and software.
  • Provide training and support to clients during and after the implementation process.
  • Collaborate with project teams and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the project.
  • Perform system and acceptance testing with the end customers.
  • Test and validate system configurations to ensure they meet client requirements and industry standards including NERC CIP.
  • Develop scripts and other solutions to integrate 3rd party systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the implementation process.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field and ensure systems are implemented in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Travel to customer sites and work directly with customers to successfully deliver, test, and integrate systems.
  • Contribute to proposals, work plans, budgets, and schedules for services opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study.
  • Ten (10) years of combined experience in project management and utility systems software implementation and consulting.
  • Demonstratable experience interacting with clients to understand relationships and priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to operate as part of a team in organizing, leading, planning, and executing large-scale projects from the envisioning stage through implementation.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on client business goals.
  • Knowledge of project integration lifecycle and methodology.
  • Excellent problem-solving, written and oral communications and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate workshops covering the full breadth of the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to work with new technologies and tools as required by the needs of a project. (MS Project, JIRA, OneNote)
  • Ability to work independently and self‑direct your workday.
  • Experience creating work estimates, staffing plans, and proposals for projects of various scale and complexity.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% to customer project sites.
  • Experience and ability to work on projects that may not be ADMS/OMS related with appropriate training.
  • Installation and configuration of OSI monarch advanced distribution management applications such as Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), and Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVC/VVO).
  • Experience with GIS building tools and model.
  • Experience in configuring Maven, Leitmotif, and eMAP.
