Job description

Mom’s Meals, the leading national provider of refrigerated home-delivered meals in the healthcare market, is looking for upbeat, people-first individuals to join our team as Part-time Customer Service Representatives. In this role, you’ll be one of the first friendly voices our customers connect with as they place meal orders. The starting wage is $17.00/hour ($18.00/hour for bilingual representatives).
This is an onsite position, with opportunities at our Ankeny, Iowa or Des Moines, Iowa locations.
Standard work hours are Monday-Friday, 10:30am-2:30pm (20-29 hours/week).
This position requires 3 weeks of full-time onsite training, Monday-Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
  • Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls with our clients placing their meal order
  • Address questions, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Input order information into the appropriate client order screen
  • Document all conversations with client into client information database
  • Ensure all assigned clients are contacted and have an order on file
  • Contact case managers via telephone, email, and/or fax when a special situation arises regarding one of their clients
  • Work quickly and efficiently without making the client feel rushed
Required Skills & Experience
  • High school degree or GED
  • 1 year of previous customer service experience
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience learning and using software in a work or school setting
  • Clear oral communication skills
  • Ability to deescalate situations and quickly resolve customer complaints
  • Prior experience adhering to company policies and showing core values
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 1 year of previous call center experience
  • Previous experience with auto dialer, multi-line phone system, and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams
  • Previous experience working with HIPAA policies and procedures 
Physical Requirements
  • Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
  • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
