    How would you contribute?

    This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - 525 Kansas team, located in Omaha, NE. As a Shift Supervisor you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. Responsible for organizing and prioritizing production flow to achieve division goals through developing and coaching.

    Essential Duties:

    Analyzes production requirements to estimate worker hours that meet both internal and external customer needs.
    Delegates production requirements to lead and quality assurance person that are clear, measurable and informative.
    Interfaces with team members to ensure customer requirements are met.
    Ensures conformance to customer quality requirements.
    Directs machine operators, mold changers and expander operators in adjusting of machines and equipment that fail to produce to quality and quantity standards.
    Works closely with the EPS Engineering Technician to understand the machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance, optimum utilization to improve OEE.
    Develops, recommends and implements measures to improve effectiveness of production methods, machine performance and scrap reduction.
    Submits recommendations for changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase production efficiency.
    Analyzes and resolves production problems and coaches employees in solving production problems.
    Maintains time and production records.
    Communicates and implements company policies and standards of conduct, safety and housekeeping.
    Cooperatively develops and implements employee evaluations and performance reviews.
    Participates in the development and implementation of new technologies.
    Acts as an operator of the IQMS software system for production, inventory management, equipment real time monitoring, warehouse inventory control, physical count auditing as determined necessary, etc.
    Communicates production support needs to maintenance and shipping functions.
    Maintains attendance company standards.
    Works weekends and holidays as required to meet customer requirements and company priorities.
    Ensures the entire EPS facility is neat, clean and organized at all times.
    Audits and maintains housekeeping expectations.
    Exhibits objectivity and openness to other's views.
    Contributes to building positive team morale.
    Treats all employees with respect.
    Upholds and supports organizational goals and views.
    Maintains confidentiality.
    Inspects machines, equipment and work environment to ensure specific operational performance, optimum utilization and employee safety.
    Resolves employee complaints or submits unsettled complaints through the proper processes.
    Compiles, stores and retrieves production data.
    Assesses the overall effectiveness of our training programs to determine their effectiveness in meeting employee development objectives.
    Controls expenditures, labor overtime and costs within limitations of the budget.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Certificates and Licenses:
    Forklift and power lifting equipment licenses preferred.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws.

    Responsibilities include interviewing,hiring and training employees; planning and assigning work; appraising performance; rewarding and leading employees; addressing conflict resolution and providing workforce success opportunities for team members.
