The Plant Engineer is responsible for supporting the continuous operation areas and backing-up others Plant Engineers. They support the maintenance and engineering activities to ensure the delivery of quality product in a safe, efficient and timely manner. They support the Plant Managers and their team to ensure high plant availability and stable operations for the Omega-3 and Biolys plants. It is essential that the Plant Engineer works together as a team with the other engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the "asset owner" for maintenance budget, spares inventory and management, equipment lifecycle management, technical optimization, preventive and predictive equipment maintenance applications, gatekeeping and shutdown management concept

  • Provide technical support on equipment issues, develop scopes for technical or capex changes, execute MOC's and follow-up on incident investigations, non-conformances and PHA.

  • Fulfill the requirements for GPS-PT3 Plant Engineering / Maintenance and adhere to the GPS-PT6 Contractor Management .

  • Keep plant documentation up to date

  • Supervise, coordinate, and check quality of work

  • Develop. maintain and optimize maintenance plans

  • Implement new regulations and Evonik requirements, consider all relevant laws and other binding requirements

  • Implement measures derived from risk assessments, identify deviations and set up corrective measures

  • Align maintenance topics, improvements, and failures with other relevant AN sites and colleagues

  • Participate in creation of operational guidelines (e.g. SOPs) for production, health & safety, maintenance

  • Create PORs, make good receipts (open package inspection) and other administrative work in SAP, follow up on invoices

REQUIREMENTS

  • Require a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or similar degree

  • 5+ years of experience is preferred.

  • Previous experience with capex project, production, and/or maintenance experience.

  • Strong communication and demonstrated collaboration skills as this role has the complexity of managing capex projects, supporting production & maintenance and process improvements for a multi customer site which includes a joint venture partner.

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
