Job description

We are currently seeking Mold Technician, with the below qualifications:

Schedule: Sunday- Thursday, 11:00pm- 7:00am

Professional Attributes

  • Daily turnovers for effective communication with molding engineer when person is on site or thru detailed e-mail if face to face communication is not possible
  • Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring of new team members
  • Material handling, mixing, drying, analysis, inventory & documentation
  • Mold interface hookups, water, electrical, clamping, knockouts, sprue, misc. to the molding machines is complete, & documented
  • Participate in sampling reviews as directed by molding engineer.
  • Production molding run setup & startup
  • Operate molding machines and all support equipment as necessary to complete production runs on designated shift as required.
  • Maintain the system for tagging/cleaning/storage of all molds
  • Maintain molding support equipment
  • Maintain Raw material storage system
  • Conduct Housekeeping as required
  • Mold wipe downs and basic preventative maintenance
  • Basic tool repair and pull and set tools on molds
  • Press color changes and continuity
  • Press hopper setup and repair
  • Troubleshoot machine/process problems and correct in a timely manner
  • Operate and diagnose IM machines and automated downstream equipment
  • Ability to perform thorough quality checks and perform tasks with accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced and team environment
  • Direct IP and assist in the training of new IPs
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Follow all policies and procedures
  • Additional duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Prior mold technician experience required
  • Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and experience
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience leading a team and training new employees
