Job description

Mold Remediation Project Supervisor G2 Restoration Location:

  • McKinney, TX / DFW Metroplex (serving Dallas, Denton, Allen, Frisco, and surrounding areas)

About G2 Restoration

G2 Restoration is a family-owned restoration company established in 2009 and based in McKinney, Texas. Founded by professionals with firefighter backgrounds, we specialize in residential and commercial mold remediation, water damage restoration, fire and storm damage restoration, and related services across the DFW area. We emphasize thorough, protocol-driven work, strong customer communication, insurance claim support, and reliable execution. Our team takes pride in delivering high-quality results that help property owners recover safely and efficiently.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Mold Remediation Project Supervisor who holds a current Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Mold Remediation Worker Registration. In this hands-on field leadership role, you will serve as the on-site leader for mold remediation projects. You will ensure crews arrive prepared, follow written protocols and work plans precisely, maintain excellent customer coordination, document progress thoroughly, and uphold safety and quality standards—all while performing work under the required supervision of a licensed Mold Remediation Contractor in accordance with Texas regulations.

This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, takes pride in clean and complete work, communicates clearly, and can lead by example on dynamic job sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time every day and ensure the company van is fully prepped, loaded with the correct tools, equipment, materials, PPE, and supplies needed for the assigned project.
  • Thoroughly read, interpret, and strictly adhere to Mold Protocols in conjunction with Mold Remediation Work Plans. Promptly escalate any questions, discrepancies, unforeseen site conditions, or recommended changes to the supervising licensed Mold Remediation Contractor for direction or approval.
  • Lead and direct assigned field crews in the safe and efficient execution of remediation activities, including containment setup and maintenance, proper material handling and removal (especially porous materials), cleaning of non-porous surfaces, equipment operation (HEPA vacuums, air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, negative air machines), and related tasks—while ensuring all work remains under required TDLR supervision.
  • Coordinate arrival times with the customer every morning and maintain professional, clear, and proactive communication throughout the project.
  • Document job progress comprehensively and accurately via photos and detailed notes in the company CRM system. Records should support quality control, compliance demonstration, progress tracking, and post-remediation processes.
  • Enforce rigorous safety protocols, proper PPE and respirator use, containment integrity, and safe work practices to protect crew members, occupants, and the property from exposure to mold spores and contaminated materials.
  • Monitor site conditions for residual moisture sources or factors that could support mold regrowth and report them promptly.
  • Participate hands-on in remediation work as needed while providing on-site leadership and quality oversight.
  • Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working order and manage on-site inventory/supplies.
  • Comply with all TDLR requirements (including minimum work practices under 16 TAC Chapter 78), OSHA standards, company safety programs, and industry best practices (such as principles reflected in IICRC S520).
  • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with company policies and Texas mold regulations.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of customer information, project details, and proprietary methods.

Required Qualifications

  • Current and valid Texas TDLR Mold Remediation Worker Registration (must be maintained in good standing; any lapse or change must be reported immediately).
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for clear interactions with customers, crew members, and management.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small field crew while following detailed written instructions.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including: repeatedly lifting and carrying 50+ pounds; working for extended periods in full PPE and respirators; working in confined spaces, crawl spaces, attics, and varying weather conditions; performing physically demanding demolition, cleaning, and equipment-handling tasks; and standing, kneeling, climbing, and reaching as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • TDLR Mold Remediation Contractor License (strongly preferred for greater supervisory authority and career growth).
  • Prior experience leading crews or serving as a project/crew lead in mold remediation, water restoration, or related construction/restoration work.
  • Experience interpreting and executing mold protocols and work plans.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or similar digital job documentation tools.
  • IICRC certifications (especially Applied Microbial Remediation Technician – AMRT, or related water damage certifications).
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ANSI/IICRC S520 (Standard for Professional Mold Remediation).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Construction, demolition, or building sciences background.

Schedule and Working Conditions

This is a full-time, primarily field-based position. Early morning starts are standard. Flexibility for overtime, occasional weekends, or emergency response calls is expected, as is common in the restoration industry. Work occurs at residential and commercial customer properties throughout the DFW area and involves exposure to dusty, wet, or contaminated environments while using appropriate protective equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications, along with a benefits package (details available during the interview process). We offer the opportunity to grow with a reputable, family-owned local company that values quality workmanship and professional development.

G2 Restoration is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. Employment is at-will.
