Job description

Manufacturing Assembler | $17-$19/hr | Virginia Beach

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour (based on shift)

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift

Join a growing manufacturing team that produces high-quality components used in electrical transmission and distribution systems across the country. We're seeking dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work, using tools, and building products that meet strict quality standards.

This position involves assembling polymer insulators, operating crimping equipment, performing quality inspections, and working with a team to meet production goals. If you have manufacturing, assembly, production, or mechanical experience, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Assemble components according to work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards
  • Operate hydraulic and pneumatic crimping equipment to secure metal fittings to polymer rods
  • Use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks
  • Measure and inspect parts using calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
  • Verify crimp depth, alignment, and overall assembly integrity
  • Support molding, curing, and material preparation processes as needed
  • Identify and report equipment issues, defects, or material shortages
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Meet daily production and quality goals in a team-oriented environment
What We're Looking For
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or mechanical experience preferred
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work throughout the shift
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with mechanical assembly or production equipment
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar measuring tools
  • Familiarity with hydraulic or pneumatic equipment
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
  • Knowledge of quality inspection procedures

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility that is not climate controlled, and temperatures may become hot during summer months. Employees work with assembly equipment, molding processes, and hydraulic and pneumatic machinery in a fast-paced production setting. Safety is a top priority, and PPE is required. Water is permitted at workstations to help employees stay hydrated throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
