Job description

Responsible to properly and efficiently set molds in Injection Mold machines, set up other production equipment as needed, along with helping with other production needs.

  • Install molds, ensuring mold is installed properly and safely on machine platens, as required by the production schedule.
  • Installs, sets up and ensures all needed auxiliary equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Install and remove auxiliary and secondary equipment (drill presses and dryers) as required to produce products.
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate hoists and other equipment in a safe manner.  
  • Understands how to confirm, install, and set water lines, die height, ejection stroke, nozzles, heaters, hot runner controllers, hot oil heaters, and other equipment.
  • Ability to read product drawings. 
  • Able to use equipment required to check the quality.
  • Has the ability to troubleshoot processing issues with an acceptable outcome.
  • Completes all paperwork timely and completely.
  • Maintain an organized and clean production area ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Report timely all safety, quality and machine issues to supervision. 
  • Follows all procedures, rules and works in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to complete crane, lift truck and other government mandated training.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of production procedures, ability to read blueprints and manuals, analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Teamwork and professional communication are required. 
  • Previous plastics injection molding and factory experience preferred. Â
