Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mold Setup Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up molds for injection molding. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with industrial equipment, and a commitment to precision measurement and quality control. Duties

  • Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot molds for plastics blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion processes using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Move molds and clean the mounts
  • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust machine operations for optimal performance.
  • Conduct quality inspections during setup to ensure molds meet specifications and standards.
  • Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and operate forklifts as needed within the warehouse environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on molds and machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Document setup procedures, measurements, and inspection results accurately for quality assurance records.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues related to mold fabrication or machine operation.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.


Skills
