Busy dermatology practice in Spotswood, NJ is searching for a reliable MOHS Assistant/Medical Assistant to perform clinical duties to keep our Dermatology practice running efficiently. The Mohs Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing Mohs surgery. This position ensures the maintenance of a safe, efficient, and quality-focused environment by conducting pre-surgical evaluations, providing patient and family education, assisting with surgical procedures, managing patient flow, and maintaining meticulous patient records in both electronic and physical formats. Practice performs Moh's 2-4 days per month. In addition, the dermatology medical assistant will assist the provider in day-to-day dermatology patient flow

Job Description
  • Recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical and surgical procedures and other patient care.
  • Preparing MOHS paperwork and instruments, assisting during procedures, bandaging, suture removal, educating patients on wound care.
  • Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
