LightSpeed Build Technologies is revolutionizing the construction industry through AI-powered robotics. Our flagship systems-BRUTE for automated wall panel manufacturing and DEX for on-site collaborative construction-are addressing the global housing crisis by delivering unprecedented speed, precision, and affordability in homebuilding.

Position Overview

As a Sales Representative, you will drive revenue growth by selling LightSpeed's LPDC (LightSpeed ProBuild Dedicated Cell) robotic panel manufacturing service to builders, developers, and construction companies. You will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution, selling 36-month leases for our robotic cells at $2.50 per panel square foot. This role requires someone who can articulate complex technical value propositions to construction industry decision-makers and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with aggressive growth targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesPipeline Development & Prospecting
  • Identify, qualify, and develop relationships with high-volume builders (500+ units/year), custom home builders, multifamily developers, and regional construction companies
  • Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, industry events, trade shows, and referrals
  • Research target accounts to understand their panel manufacturing processes and pain points
  • Leverage industry associations (NAHB, NFBA, local HBAs) for networking and lead generation
Consultative Sales & Deal Execution
  • Conduct discovery calls and on-site assessments to understand customer needs and capacity
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations showcasing LPDC capabilities and ROI
  • Build custom financial analyses comparing LPDC economics ($2.50/panelSF) to traditional manufacturing ($5-15/panelSF)
  • Negotiate and close 36-month LPDC lease contracts ($600K-$1.8M total contract value)
Customer Success & Market Development
  • Manage onboarding and coordinate with operations for cell deployment
  • Build long-term relationships to drive utilization, volume growth, and multi-cell expansion
  • Represent LightSpeed at trade shows, conferences, and association events
  • Contribute to sales playbook development, case studies, and competitive intelligence
Required QualificationsSales Experience
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Experience selling capital equipment, technology solutions, or long-term service contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (3-6 month close)
  • Strong prospecting, discovery, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
Industry & Professional Skills
  • Understanding of the construction industry, homebuilding, or building products market
  • Willingness to travel 40-60% for customer meetings, site visits, and events
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to thrive in early-stage, fast-moving startup environment
  • Strong analytical skills for ROI analyses and financial justifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of sales in construction technology, building products, or industrial equipment
  • Existing relationships with production homebuilders or construction executives
  • Experience selling robotics, automation, or manufacturing technology
  • Background in construction management, engineering, or building science
  • Understanding of prefabricated construction, panelized building, or modular methods
Why Join LightSpeed
  • Ground-floor opportunity at a company transforming a $1.3 trillion industry
  • Sell a product with clear ROI: 60-83% cost savings versus traditional panel manufacturing
  • Aggressive scaling targets with uncapped earning potential
  • Competitive base plus commission with significant equity participation
