OVERVIEW:

Continua Interiors is seeking an Installer to join our installation team. This position will primarily perform furniture installation, including the delivery, assembly, installation, and reconfiguration of commercial furniture. Based on project and business needs, this role will also have opportunities to assist with architectural walls installation.


Because walls installation requires additional skills and responsibilities, employees will receive a higher hourly rate for time spent performing qualifying walls installation work. The applicable rate will be based on the employee's role and the type of work being performed.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform efficient installation and assembly of office furniture within clients' facilities, including systems furniture, case goods, accessories, wall-hung units, etc.
  • Timely completion of work with a high level of workmanship and a high degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Load and unload product from delivery trucks and trailers shipped directly to clients, including staging and inspecting materials on-site as needed.
  • Perform site cleanup, remove all cartons and packaging, and ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction with the finished appearance of the site.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative "can-do" attitude, especially during problem resolution and difficult situations.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance by being properly uniformed and groomed.
  • At the end of each day's use, clean and ready all vehicles, tools, and equipment for the next day's use.
  • Comply with all safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Walls Installation (Occasional)

When assigned to Walls Installation work, this role also requires:

  • Efficiently install modular demountable walls, floor-to-ceiling glass fronts, doors, and related wall-hung furniture units.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and installation manuals to ensure precise leveling, alignment, and strict gap tolerances.
  • Unload, stage, and inspect glass panels, doors, and hardware specific to wall systems.
  • Integrate pre-engineered electrical and network components safely within wall cavities.
  • Troubleshoot fit issues dynamically on-site, applying a high level of precision and craftsmanship to ensure proper finish and alignment.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use tools and equipment. 
  • Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and instructions and accurately complete service orders, change orders, delivery tickets, and return authorizations. 
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn furniture installation processes, including loading/unloading, staging, assembly, detailing, cleanup, and installation of panels, components, casegoods, seating, filing, tables, and related products. 
  • Ability to work irregular hours, extended shifts, and out-of-town assignments as needed. 
  • Proven experience in commercial carpentry, interior systems, or modular/demountable wall installation.
  • Familiarity with specialized systems such as DIRTT or Maars construction methods; DIRTT certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with standard hand tools, heavy-duty power tools, and laser levels.
  • Ability to read technical floor plans and architectural schematics, ensuring precise leveling, alignment, and gap tolerances.
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to or above 50 pounds.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The hiring compensation range for this position is an hourly rate of $21.63 - $29.44   Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.

HOURS:  

This is a full-time position. Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
