Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Drafter is responsible for completing specifically assigned drafting projects as assigned by the Product Development Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop floor plans, elevations and construction detail for modular homes using CAD software.
  • Interpret design concepts, specifications and customer requirements into precise technical drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations and company standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production and the sales team to resolve design or construction issues.
  • Revise and update plans based on feedback or design changes and maintain organized drawing files and project documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
  • Knowledge of residential construction, building codes and preferred modular building methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Motivated self starter.
