Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead structural analysis and design for modular frames, equipment supports, platforms, lifting systems, and enclosure structures, including evaluation of wind, seismic, thermal, transportation, and operational loads
  • Engineer modular building and support systems by designing skids, sub-bases, floor and roof structures, anchoring solutions, and foundations while ensuring structural integrity under multi-load conditions
  • Develop and review engineering documentation including structural calculations, fabrication drawings, connection details, weld specifications, BOMs, layouts, and installation packages
  • Collaborate with drafting, manufacturing, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, code-compliant, and accurately translated into production and field installation requirements
  • Provide technical support throughout fabrication, testing, inspection, and field deployment, resolving structural issues, supporting lift and load testing, and assisting with commissioning and installation activities
  • Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement through code compliance (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI), constructability reviews, design standardization, technical problem-solving, quality assurance, and ongoing enhancement of engineering tools and processes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required, with EIT certification preferred or currently in progress
  • Structural design experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, modular construction, telecom, data center, or similar engineered structures
  • Hands-on experience with structural steel, concrete foundations, anchoring systems, and load analysis, including wind, seismic, snow, and rigging/lifting considerations
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000, or similar tools used for structural modeling and design validation
  • Ability to develop and review fabrication drawings, structural details, welded and bolted connections, with a strong understanding of industrial fabrication and construction practices
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, or comparable CAD platforms, with practical experience supporting both shop fabrication and field installation activities
