Job description

The Senior Enterprise Applications & Integration Engineer is responsible for defining, designing, and governing the organization's enterprise systems landscape, with particular emphasis on the integration of the core ERP platform and supporting SaaS applications. This role serves as the technical leader for enterprise application architecture, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.

The successful candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project managers to establish integration strategies, drive modernization initiatives, and maintain a cohesive application ecosystem that supports operational excellence and future business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Systems Strategy

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise applications architecture roadmap.
  • Define standards, principles, and best practices for application integration and system interoperability.
  • Evaluate current-state architecture and create future-state technology strategies.
  • Lead the design of scalable and sustainable solutions supporting business growth and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and technology capabilities.

 

ERP & SaaS Integration Leadership

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for ERP-centric architecture and integration design.
  • Architect and oversee integrations between core ERP platforms and external SaaS solutions including:
    • CRM systems, Customer Service platforms, Procurement solutions, E-commerce platforms, Manufacturing applications & Supply Chain applications
  • Define integration patterns utilizing APIs, middleware, ETL platforms, event-driven architecture, and cloud integration services.
  • Lead data flow design, synchronization strategies, and master data management initiatives.

 

Application Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee implementation, enhancement, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications.
  • Ensure application performance, reliability, and availability meet business requirements.
  • Develop long-term upgrade and modernization plans.
  • Coordinate testing, deployment, and release management activities.

 

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership to application developers, integration engineers, analysts, and technical consultants.
  • Provide technical oversight for complex projects and enterprise initiatives.
  • Establish development standards, documentation requirements, and governance processes.
  • Review solution designs and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
  • Lead technology selection and vendor evaluation efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of IT experience with enterprise applications and systems integration.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Strong experience supporting and integrating enterprise ERP platforms such as:
    • Infor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Epicor or JD Edwards
  • Experience integrating SaaS solutions using APIs, middleware, and cloud integration platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and modern integration frameworks.
  • Proven project leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, finance, customer service, or distribution business processes.
  • Experience with IBMi applications is preferred
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms.
