Salary:

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $90,000 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary:

The Modern Workplace Solutionist/Senior IT Systems Analyst is a senior technical contributor within Modern Workplace Services responsible for translating business requirements into secure, supportable, and scalable IT solutions. The role partners with business leaders, associates, vendors, global, regional, and local IT teams to understand operational needs, define technical requirements, evaluate solution options, and implement technology that improves workforce productivity, collaboration, automation, and business continuity.

This position provides advanced administration and support for modern workplace platforms, endpoint and mobile technologies, identity and access services, collaboration tools, printing, asset management, and selected business applications. The administrator leads complex troubleshooting, drives root-cause and preventive actions, contributes to projects and standards, and provides technical guidance and training to strengthen technology adoption and the associate experience.


Essential Functions:

  • Engage business stakeholders to elicit, clarify, document, and prioritize business requirements, pain points, process constraints, service expectations, and desired outcomes.
  • Convert approved business requirements into practical IT solutions by developing technical requirements, solution options, implementation approaches, support models, and acceptance criteria aligned with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, compliance, and service-management standards.
  • Assess solution feasibility, dependencies, risks, total support impact, and opportunities to use existing enterprise capabilities before recommending new technology.
  • Lead or perform the configuration, implementation, administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365, endpoint, mobile, identity, collaboration, printing, asset-management, and related modern workplace services.
  • Investigate complex, recurring, or non-standard incidents; identify root causes; implement corrective or preventive measures; and develop workarounds that minimize operational disruption.
  • Meet agreed service levels for incidents and service requests, maintain clear stakeholder communication, and ensure accurate documentation within IT service-management tools.
  • Administer the lifecycle of workplace hardware and software, including evaluation, procurement coordination, registration, deployment, configuration, inventory, compliance, refresh, and secure disposal.
  • Perform advanced access, licensing, device, mailbox, shared mailbox, group, and endpoint administration in accordance with approved controls and least privilege principles.
  • Provide technical ownership or subject-matter expertise for workplace technology initiatives, upgrades, migrations, pilots, and regional deployments, including planning, testing, change coordination, validation, documentation, and transition to support.
  • Partner with application owners and vendors to support selected business applications, perform approved administrative tasks, resolve integration or operational issues, and sustain business continuity.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation, self-service, standardization, and use of advanced technologies, including Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot capabilities where approved.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, configuration records, support guides, and training materials.
  • Provide technical coaching, knowledge transfer, and end-user training to improve adoption, digital skills, and effective use of available tools.
  • Build service-oriented relationships with associates and business leaders, represent IT during site engagements, and coordinate effectively across global, regional, and local teams.
  • Monitor platform health, service trends, security posture, compliance indicators, capacity, and lifecycle risks; recommend and execute improvements within assigned authority.
  • Participate in change, incident, problem, request, knowledge, and asset-management processes consistent with ITIL practices.
  • Travel regionally, and occasionally internationally when required by the assignment, to support facilities, deployments, and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • ITIL training or certification is preferred.
  • Related COMPTIA Certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, or Server+ are preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications are preferred, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Power Platform, Copilot, Dynamics 365, endpoint management, or related technologies.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive information technology experience, including advanced systems administration, modern workplace engineering, endpoint operations, or equivalent enterprise support experience.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements and converting them into technical requirements, solution designs, implementation plans, and operational support processes.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 services, identity and access, endpoint and mobile management, collaboration platforms, and client hardware and software lifecycles.
  • Experience using ITSM platforms and applying ITIL practices across incident, request, problem, change, knowledge, and asset management.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues, receiving escalations from other IT teams, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Experience contributing to or leading technology projects, upgrades, migrations, deployments, and service transitions.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, support procedures, knowledge articles, and training content.
  • Experience in a global, multi-site manufacturing organization is preferred.
  • Experience with automation, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, AI integration, or business application support is preferred.

Note: This is an office-based position, and individuals are expected to be in the office 5 days per week.

  • Troubleshooting and configuration of associate issues in an MS O365 environment
  • Ability to conduct root-cause analysis for service interruptions and establish preventive measures
  • Adheres to standards, best practices, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between IT and the business
  • Brings forth new ideas to simplify, standardize, and strategically align with the corporate goal of One Signode and better supportability

Technical skills:

  • O365/AD/Azure – Basic skills in adding/removing permissions for access and licensing. Add/remove associates and computers, and add/remove mailbox(s) or shared mailbox(s) permissions
  • PC Desktop and Laptop – Basic knowledge of PC Desktop & Laptop diagnostics and testing skills. Perform rebuilds, installations & imaging of client computers                                           
  • Mobile Devices – Has a basic understanding of mobile diagnostics and management. Has performed rebuilds, installations & imaging of devices. iOS and Android skills are required. MDM (Mobile Device Management) and InTune skills are a plus
  • Printers – Good knowledge and troubleshooting skills on printers and print server administration. PrinterLogic skills a plus
  • Asset Management – Basic skills on how to manage hardware and software assets within tools like Freshservice and InTune

Administrative & Compliance skills:

  • Document processes using standard templates. Ensure the modern workspace documentation is up to mark. Create modern workspace knowledge articles.
  • Ability to operate remotely, providing support using tools like LogMeIN, GotoMyPc, TeamViewer, etc.
  • Ensure weekly status reports are produced. Operate in an ITIL framework and adhere to SOX compliance needs
  • Exhibit simplified Vendor administration & engagement. Streamline hardware and software procurement. Services
