Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of new patients to identify their needs and treatment goals related to substance use disorders.
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that foster recovery and support among clients.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to provide cohesive and comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders. Our clientele includes a wide spectrum of ages and backgrounds, reflecting the community's diverse needs. As a therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients through their unique recovery journeys, offering personalized attention and encouragement, while also addressing the challenges that accompany addiction.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.
  • Significant knowledge of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and a commitment to recovery-oriented care.
  • Proven experience delivering both individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment settings.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by an empathetic, non-judgmental approach to client interactions.
  • Strong ability to maintain professional boundaries while adhering to ethical guidelines and ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems and various computer applications for documentation and administrative purposes.

Preferred Experience
