Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the needs and goals of clients entering substance use disorder treatment.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.
  • Lead individual counseling sessions that focus on recovery strategies and coping mechanisms, tailored to each client's situation.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to encourage peer support and shared learning among individuals in recovery.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary, assuring clients receive immediate support during emergencies related to substance use.
  • Educate clients and their families on addiction, available community resources, and best practices for sustaining long-term recovery.
  • Maintain precise and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and other legal standards, managing documentation through electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Actively participate in case reviews and team meetings, contributing to ongoing training and learning opportunities.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest research and developments in substance use treatment to inform best practices within our programs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals seeking help for substance use disorders, often facing co-occurring mental health issues. You will work with a diverse population, including adolescents and adults, requiring a tailored approach to meet unique cultural and personal needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.
  • Strong understanding of substance use disorders and familiarity with contemporary, evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a non-judgmental and empathetic demeanor.
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality in all client interactions.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, collaborating seamlessly with various professionals.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling or substance use treatment is preferred.
