Job description

CAD Drafter

Pay: $25–$38/hr (DOE)

Schedule: Full-time

Role Overview

The CAD Drafter supports the Engineering team by creating and updating accurate manufacturing documentation for over 20 equipment models. You’ll work closely with Engineers, Designers, and shop personnel to keep drawings, models, and BOMs current and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3D modeling in SOLIDWORKS and 2D drafting in AutoCAD
  • Produce fabrication, weldment, assembly, and schematic drawings
  • Maintain BOMs, MRP data, and engineering change documentation
  • Support design updates and continuous improvement projects
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers

What You Need

  • 1–8 years experience with parametric 3D modeling
  • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and basic Microsoft Office
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well with cross-functional teams

Preferred

  • SOLIDWORKS modeling depth
  • Sheet metal design experience
  • Familiarity with off-highway or heavy equipment

 Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Comfortable with extended sitting and occasional bending, kneeling, or climbing
