Job description

The HM & Consumer Lending QRM Valuation Manager is a mid-level individual contributor responsible for supporting the build-out and ongoing integrity of consumer lending products within QRM to enable the bank's Consumer Lending originate-to-distribute model. The role assists with product setup, model inputs and testing, monitors pipeline and asset data for accuracy, uploads and validates market pricing, and partners with Capital Markets, QRM/modeling, product, operations and technology teams to resolve data issues and maintain controlled, reliable data used for valuation, risk measurement, execution and reporting. 

Primary responsibilities include

Support configuration, testing, and maintenance of new consumer lending products, product attributes, assumptions, and related model inputs within the QRM framework to support the bank's originate-to-distribute consumer lending model.

Monitor originate-to-distribute pipeline data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency; investigate data exceptions, reconcile source system differences, and coordinate timely remediation with business, operations, technology, and model stakeholders.

Upload, validate, and maintain market pricing and related inputs used for valuation, pipeline management, risk measurement, execution analysis, and management reporting; ensure pricing reflects accurate and current market conditions.

Perform recurring data quality reviews across asset-level data, model assumptions, reports, and downstream feeds; maintain documentation and control evidence supporting data integrity.

Support QRM production processes, model/data testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation of process improvements or new reporting capabilities.

Produce ad-hoc analysis and clear summaries for Capital Markets leadership related to pipeline activity, product setup, data quality, pricing accuracy, and OTD execution readiness.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical aptitude and attention to detail, with ability to identify data anomalies and resolve root causes. 
  • Working knowledge of mortgage or consumer lending products, loan attributes, pricing inputs, pipeline reporting, and originate-to-distribute execution concepts. 
  • Familiarity with QRM, asset/liability management, valuation, or risk model frameworks; direct QRM experience preferred. 
  • Ability to understand model inputs, product attributes, cash flow assumptions, pricing curves, and downstream reporting impacts. 
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of SQL, database querying, and data.
  • Experience supporting data quality controls, UAT, production support, process documentation, and recurring reporting routines. 
  • Ability to communicate data issues, pricing breaks, and model impacts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders. 
  • Strong ownership mindset, organization, and ability to manage recurring production deadlines while supporting ad-hoc deliverables.

Experience:

Minimum Required:

  • 5+ years of financial analytics, capital markets, consumer lending, mortgage banking, risk/modeling, data management, or related experience. 
  • Experience working with loan-level data, pipeline data, pricing inputs, valuation assumptions, or other financial/model data sets. 
  • Demonstrated ability to validate data, research exceptions, reconcile source system outputs, and document control processes. 
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL, database tools, or business intelligence/reporting platforms. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, STEM, Business Analytics, Accounting, or related quantitative/business discipline. 

Strongly Preferred:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in mortgage or consumer lending capital markets, financial modeling, QRM support, pricing, pipeline management, or data governance. 
  • Direct experience with QRM, ALM/valuation tools, model implementation, UAT, data feed testing, or production model support. 
  • Prior exposure to originate-to-distribute execution, whole loan sales, securitization support, warehouse/capital markets processes, or consumer lending product launches. 
  • Programming or automation experience with Python, VBA, Power Query, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to summarize technical data quality issues for business leaders.

Pay Transparency

  • The salary range for this position is $133,000 - $174,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
