Job description

The UAF Art Department seeks confident, expressive individuals who are passionate about being a part of the creative process. Whether you're experienced or new to modeling, if you're comfortable with your form and excited to collaborate with talented artists, we want to hear from you! We offer a professional, respectful, and inspiring environment.
Help us bring art to life through the beauty of the human form. Step into the spotlight and become the muse behind masterpieces! Apply now and let's create magic together!
This position serves as a nude model for advanced UAF figure drawing Art courses. Our Art department needs individuals in physical condition to quietly hold standing, seated, and recumbent poses for at least 20 minutes at a time. Models for the Department of Art should be prepared to come up with short and long poses for class sessions on their own, as well as take direction from the course instructors.
Personal cleanliness is expected for all modeling sessions, but this does not specify any type of particular grooming or hair removal. All body types are valuable to draw and artists are not looking for models to conform to a particular vision of what a nude body should look like.
To thrive in this role, you will need to be comfortable being studied as students learn to/practice drawing the human form, and good at maintaining periods of silence while posing. We are looking for punctual applicants with a positive attitude who are ready to contribute to our students' education in the arts. Past experience modeling and interest in the arts/humanities is a plus but not required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
Good communication and organizational skills
Must be 18 years of age or older
