  • Summer Intern - Research on Large Vehicle Data Model
Job Summary:
  • Toyota is seeking Ph.D. students in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related technical fields to conduct research on large vehicle data foundation models.
Objective:
  • Research and develop foundation models, including pretraining and post-training, leveraging language supervision, and enhancing multimodal reasoning capabilities
  • Train and evaluate models on multimodal data across vehicle sensors, edge, and cloud infrastructure using standard datasets and benchmarks
Requirements: Required/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related technical field.
  • Prior experience with Vision Language Models (VLMs), Large Language Models (LLMs), or Natural Language Processing, particularly for reasoning and multimodal understanding.
  • Software engineering fundamentals, especially in Python
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) (Preferred)
