The Royal Caribbean Group's Supply Chain Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Analyst, Sr Dry Dock Sourcing reporting to the Director, Dry Dock Procurement

The position is onsite and based in Miami, FL.

The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.

Position Summary:

This role supports the global Dry Dock procurement strategy through advanced analytics, sourcing execution, benchmarking, and commercial modeling, providing critical decision support for negotiations with shipyards. The role enables the Manager to strengthen vessel specific negotiations (VRC) and supports the Director in developing commercial frameworks (FCC) and expanding tenders to additional shipyards not yet used by the company.

The Senior Analyst will lead RFP activities, analyze complex shipyard proposals, evaluate commercial terms, prepare negotiation packages, and support contracting processes. This position bridges analytical depth with handson sourcing execution, ensuring fact based decision making, supplier competitiveness, and alignment with Royal Caribbean Group procurement standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Procurement Execution

  • Lead and execute RFPs for dry dock general services, underwater works, technical services, and shipyard proposals, ensuring alignment with procurement policy.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and support execution of commercial agreements, including pricing structures, milestone terms, and technical/commercial clauses.
  • Conduct supplier/shipyard evaluations, commercial analyses, and scoring during sourcing events.
  • Own communication with suppliers during bid events, clarifications, and negotiation cycles.

Tariff, Cost, and Market Analysis

  • Build and maintain detailed tariff mapping models across global shipyards, standardizing costs to enable applestoapples comparisons.
  • Perform advanced cost modeling, sensitivity analysis, scenario simulations, and total cost of ownership evaluations.
  • Analyze shipyard capacity, capabilities, risks, and commercial performance.

Negotiation Support for Management

  • Develop analytical negotiation packages for the Dry Dock Manager and Director.
  • Identify negotiation levers, pricing anomalies, and commercial risks.
  • Support preparation of strategy papers, decision memos, and final recommendations.

Data, Dashboards & Tools

  • Create dashboards (Excel/PowerBI) covering tariffs, spend, bid comparisons, and performance metrics.
  • Manage dry dock procurement datasets ensuring accuracy, consistency, and audit compliance.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Technical Operations, Fleet Directors, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain leadership.
  • Participate in predock planning, postdock cost review, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Maritime Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or commercial experience, preferably in industrial, maritime, or technical categories.
  • Proven experience leading RFPs, negotiations, contracting, and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical capabilities: cost modeling, tariff analysis, benchmarking, scenario modeling.
  • Advanced Excel; strong Power BI or analytics tools experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into commercial and cost impacts.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, able to support seniorlevel negotiations.

Financial responsibilities:

  • Supports analysis and sourcing activities influencing $150M-$300M+ annual dry dock spend across the fleet.
  • Manages tariff databases with thousands of yard pricing line items.
  • Provides cost models that directly inform dock selection, negotiation strategies, and savings targets.
  • Supports vendor evaluations impacting multimilliondollar purchase decisions.
