Position Highlights:
The Strategic Growth, Market Intelligence & Analytics Director plays a pivotal role in advancing Moffitt Cancer Center's mission by managing a highly collaborative team responsible for driving data-informed, forward-looking strategies to support clinical growth and market expansion. Reporting to the Director Strategic Consumer and Market Insights, this role integrates institutional insights with real-time market intelligence, consumer behavior trends, and advanced analytics to position Moffitt for sustained success in an increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
The Strategic Growth, Market Intelligence & Analytics Director is responsible for market planning, research, and analytics functions, with a focus on embedding artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation into forecasting, strategy development, and scenario planning. This includes maintaining and enhancing Moffitt's institutional growth and capacity forecasting model which informs long-term investment decisions, service-line planning, and geographic expansion strategies.
The role manages comprehensive market and competitive intelligence efforts, synthesizing internal performance data, referral and leakage trends, and external signals from claims data, geospatial tools, patient feedback, and digital sentiment analysis. It also leads the development of disease-specific and regional growth strategies, using predictive modeling, consumer insights, and macro- and micro-level scenario simulations to evaluate risk, identify opportunity, and prioritize initiatives.
Additionally, the Strategic Growth, Market Intelligence & Analytics Director manages market data governance, analytics automation, and vendor relationships, ensuring data quality, relevance, and interoperability. This includes implementing advanced analytics capabilities and automated reporting systems that support real-time decision-making across clinical and administrative functions.
Credential and Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Economic, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.
• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in healthcare strategy, market planning, business intelligence, or related fields.
• Experience must include the following:
oMinimum of five (5) years' leadership experience overseeing teams and cross-functional initiatives
oData management, analysis, statistical analysis, growth forecasting, modeling, risk simulation modeling, and scenario planning
oHealthcare strategic and program planning in a provider setting.
oMarket data governance
oAdvanced analytics platforms, AI and automation tools for strategic planning or analytics.
Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required

Responsibilities:
Lead Strategic Market Planning and Forecasting
• Manages enterprise-level planning to support Moffitt's clinical growth by integrating institutional performance data with external market insights through advanced modeling and forecasting.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of institutional growth and capacity forecasting models.
• Support scenario planning initiatives using historical data, planned investments, and market trends.
• Translate forecasts into actionable service-line and geographic growth strategies.
• Oversee modeling tools, ensuring integration of AI/ML where applicable.
Oversee Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis
• Manages the collection, analysis, and synthesis of competitive, micro market trends, and consumer data to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic positioning.
• Manages competitive intelligence programs including monitoring of market entrants and disruptors.
• Analyze market share, referral patterns, and population health trends.
• Utilize predictive analytics and NLP tools to evaluate market dynamics.
• Deliver executive-ready insights to guide leadership decision making.
Risk Simulation
• Manage risk simulation analysis outlining the myriads of possible outcomes and assess the impact of risk, allowing for better decision making under uncertainty.
• Develop a capability to run Monte Carlo simulations for growth forecasts and significant projects with extensive capital investment and/or risk.
• Build models of possible results by probability distribution for any factor that has inherent uncertainty and deliver results and recommendations.
Manage Data Strategy, Analytics Operations, and Vendor Relationships
• Oversees the governance and optimization of market data, analytics systems, and external data partnerships to ensure timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence.
• Manage data integrity, governance, and quality assurance across all platforms.
• Implement automation and advanced analytics solutions to improve reporting efficiency. Oversee relationships with third-party data vendors and analytics partners.
• Ensure interoperability and alignment with enterprise data systems.
Collaborate with Leadership and Drive Organizational Influence
• Acts as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders, influencing growth strategy across clinical and operational domains through data-driven insights.
• Engages regularly with executives, clinical chairs, and operational leaders.
• Present complex analytics in clear, actionable formats.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment on strategic priorities.
• Mentor and develop high-performing team members and foster a culture of innovation.
Salary Range
$131,589.17 - $197,308.80
Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
