Job Description & Skill Requirement:
• Factory Simulation to model a new highly automated plant to validate and optimize the layout and configuration.
• Capacity analysis, identification of bottlenecks, machine efficiency improvements, ergonomics, buffer validation, etc.
Practical Skills
• Factory Simulation experience, necessarily in Tecnomatix Plant Simulation or similar tool
• Interpret results from factory simulation to drive the design of a factory
• Build the factory simulation using diverse inputs: demand, part definition, machine specs, time studies, physical layouts.
• Write reports and produce presentations with the results from the factory simulation models
• Use of other modeling and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB)
• Collaborate with relevant functions (e.g., design, procurement, quality)
• Programming (e.g., Python, C, Java)
Leadership skills
• Take responsibility for the teaming, scope, plan, coding, and delivery of a factory simulation.
• Direct other industrial engineers to gather necessary input for the factory simulation.
