What is a modeling actor?

Modeling actors are professionals who combine the skills of both modeling and acting. They may appear in commercials, print advertisements, fashion shows, and promotional events where they are required to pose and also perform scripted roles or deliver lines. Unlike traditional models, modeling actors often convey emotions, tell a story, or interact with other actors on set. Their work bridges the gap between visual presentation and dramatic performance, offering brands and productions a more engaging way to showcase products or ideas.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a modeling actor?

To thrive as a Modeling Actor, you need strong physical presence, the ability to convey emotions through body language and facial expressions, and often previous modeling or acting experience. Familiarity with industry-standard practices, posing techniques, and sometimes portfolio development or acting workshops are important technical qualifications. Confidence, adaptability, and professionalism help individuals stand out when working with diverse teams and under varying conditions. These skills and qualities are essential for consistently delivering compelling performances and meeting the expectations of clients and directors in competitive environments.

What are some common challenges modeling actors face when balancing multiple assignments or auditions?

Modeling Actors often navigate a fast-paced environment where schedules can change on short notice due to last-minute casting calls or shoot rescheduling. Balancing multiple assignments requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and effective communication with agents, casting directors, and clients. It's also crucial to maintain professionalism across diverse work settings and to manage self-care, as frequent travel and long hours are common. Networking and building a reliable reputation can help ease these challenges and open doors for future opportunities.

Job description

About Us
We are a performance marketing team focused on lead generation and DTC growth across verticals including mortgage, solar, insurance, home services, and supplement/vitamin brands.
Our business is driven by data, speed, and creative iteration. We don't just "make content"-we produce ads that convert and scale.
We are looking for a Direct Response Video Creator who can work closely with our media buying team to produce high-performing video creatives that hit CPL and CAC targets.
What You'll Do
  • Create high-converting video ads for Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
  • Turn winning angles into multiple creative variations quickly
  • Develop hooks, scripts, and concepts designed to stop scroll and drive action
  • Collaborate directly with media buyers to iterate based on performance data
  • Analyze ad performance (CTR, hook rate, retention, CPA) and refine creatives accordingly
  • Produce UGC-style, testimonial, founder-style, and problem/solution ads
  • Leverage AI tools to generate, iterate, and scale creative production (avatars, voice, editing, etc.)
  • Plan and execute on-location shoots with models/actors
  • Maintain a high output of creatives (5-20+ per week depending on workflow)
What We're Looking For
Must-Have:
  • Proven experience creating direct response video ads (not just organic content)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Hooks / scroll-stopping intros
    • Conversion-focused storytelling
    • Ad fatigue and creative iteration
  • Experience working with paid social teams or media buyers
  • Ability to produce content quickly and consistently
  • Comfortable receiving and acting on performance-driven feedback
Strong Plus:
  • Experience in:
    • Lead generation (mortgage, solar, insurance, home services)
    • DTC brands (supplements, vitamins, health products)
  • Familiarity with Meta Ads and/or TikTok Ads performance metrics
  • Experience producing or directing UGC-style content
  • Copywriting or scripting skills for ads
What Success Looks Like
  • Your creatives help lower CPL and CAC over time
  • You consistently generate new winning angles and iterations
  • You move fast, test aggressively, and improve based on data
  • You become a key partner to our media buying team
Compensation
  • Competitive monthly compensation (based on experience)
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to winning creatives and scaling results
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage - Medical, Dental and Vision
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid sick and mental health days
  • Performance Incentives with potential for unlimited incentives by meeting collective KPIs - your success drives our shared growth
  • Tuition Reimbursement - Receive support for continued education with tuition expense reimbursement up to eligible limits
  • Growth & Development - Unlock professional growth through mentorship, ongoing learning opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and performance-based raises
