Job description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs product measurement and data analysis and provides output to the QA Customer Service and Production Quality teams
  • Performs periodic product audits
  • Conduct periodic fixture calibrations
  • Assist with product quality improvement, containment, and New Model quality improvement
  • Support “level up” activities
  • Take routine or required customer actions to meet customer’s needs. Respond promptly and accurately to customer’s complaints, inquiries and requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow up.
  • Must proficiently perform all QA auditor functions and task at time of selection or within the first six months of employment at position.
  • Conduct product qualifications using Faro arm CMM and Laser Scanner to measure stamping and welded parts.
  • Work to solve problems and overcome obstacles, and follow up to ensure closure of dimensional issues.
  • Facilitate successful continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist in utilizing collected data for Statistical Process Control and trend detection.
  • Collect, enter and maintain clear and organized records of all inspection and test results.
  • Work with QA T/L and production T/L to ensure containment of all non-conforming material
  • Maintain daily housekeeping of work area to ensure a clean work environment and proper 5-S.
  • Ensure all daily paperwork is correct and all rejected parts are accounted.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Vocational or Associate’s degree preferred in related field
  • 1-2 years of previous quality experience required. Automotive preferred.
  • General mechanical ability involving fixtures and gauges
  • Advanced knowledge of the TBH Coordinate System
  • Intermediate knowledge of handheld measurement devices
  • Intermediate knowledge of the following measuring tools, Universal CMM , FARO Touch Probe (With Laser Scanner). Creaform Scanner , Keyence WM-6000 ( Laser Scanning Probe )
  • Prior experience operating Catia viewer
  • Experience in reading drawings, specifications and engineering standards
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
