Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer
Location: Tallahassee, FL (On-site, 5 days/week)
Duration: ~13 months (June 2026 – June 2027, with possible extension)

We are hiring for the role of Senior Power BI Developer. Below are the key details:

Role Overview
This role supports a large-scale financial systems modernization initiative. The selected candidate will build Power BI financial dashboards to replace legacy data extract reports, transforming raw financial data into actionable management insights for an enterprise-level organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current data environments and determine transformation needs prior to dashboard development

  • Develop an overall reporting roadmap in collaboration with management

  • Automate data transformation processes to reduce reliance on Microsoft Excel pivot tables

  • Convert WebFOCUS and Mainframe FOCUS queries to T-SQL

  • Create database views and stored procedures to support Power BI report development

  • Build dataflows and administer the Power BI dedicated workspace

  • Analyze financial data and recommend improvements to data models

  • Train end users on Power BI reports

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in Business Intelligence; minimum 2 years developing dashboards/reports in Microsoft Power BI

  • Experience developing paginated reports in Power BI

  • Strong SQL skills

  • Experience with IBM DB2 databases

  • Knowledge of data management concepts: Data Warehousing, Operational Data Stores, Data Lakes, Master Data Management

  • Experience creating financial data reports (general ledger, purchasing, or revenue)

  • Familiarity with OLAP cubes and Star/Snowflake Schema

  • Knowledge of Power BI integration with Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerPoint, and Teams

  • Knowledge of Mainframe flat files and SCRUM Framework

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Oracle Data Warehouse

  • Knowledge of mainframe programming languages and supporting software

Education
