Job description

We're a an award-winning, full-service design-build remodeling company seeking an aspiring or an experienced long-term professional Interior Designer. This may or may not be considered an entry-level position, so if you're new to the industry, please contact us anyway for consideration.

Look us up at YourHomeRemodeled.com, and see if you'd like to be part of one of the fastest-growing and well-respected design/build remodeling companies in the valley, designing mid-range to upscale home remodels for great people.

Responsibilities:

  • Selections: Collaborate with customers to select materials, finishes and fixtures, such as appliances, light fixtures, tile, granite tops, cabinet layouts, flooring, paint, etc. etc.; Schedule and attend customers' visits with our suppliers. Organize customer selections in our project management app (BuilderTrend).
  • design-oriented CAD: design plans for remodels and additions on our cutting-edge software, Chief Architect. Any other CAD experience is helpful and will transfer to Chief nicely. We have a CAD operator responsible for as-builts and construction drawings, so this isn't a full-time CAD job.
  • build and maintain good client and vendor relationships. You'll be the main POC during the design phase, between sales and construction.
  • Coordinate with estimating/purchasing and the field staff to get materials and fixtures on site

Qualifications:

  • non-negotiable: you have to be committed to a career in Interior Design and be good with people.
  • Previous experience in interior design, construction, sales, and/or other related fields is highly recommended, but we'll consider entry-level designers also.
  • Some formal Interior Design schooling/training is preferable
  • Familiarity with Chief Architect or other design software is preferable but not required. We'll help you get started, but you'll largely be responsible for getting good at it
  • Non-negotiable: Must be enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and friendly to customers (did I mention that already?). If you like people, and people like you, call us. We can't train that. :)
  • Willingness to work in a small, but well-organized and tech-heavy business. We're a well-established design-build remodeling contractor, est'd 2013, with just a half-dozen employees. We're well-respected for our business model, full service, and customer satisfaction. We're growing fast, and there are growing pains that come with that. We are constantly tweaking systems and processes, so please be willing to help with that. You definitely won't feel like a "cog in a wheel" here.

This is a salaried position. We intend to compensate you really well. Let's talk.

Company Description

We're a tech-heavy, well-organized, small but fast-growing company with an excellent reputation. With that said, we're also laid-back and fun to work for!
