Job description

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Interior Designer with 3-5 years of experience to support K-12 education, religious and cultural facilities, affordable housing, municipal buildings, and other community-focused projects. This person will serve as the firm's second Interior Designer, working closely with experienced Senior Interior Architects while having the autonomy to make design decisions, take ownership of projects, and work independently.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys client interaction, and is confident presenting ideas and recommendations. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape and grow the firm's interior design practice while working across multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment:

This position offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment where mentorship, communication, and professional growth are highly valued.

Schedule & Location

  • Located in Greenwood Village, CO
  • New hires will begin working onsite full-time
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (in office)
  • Friday: Remote work from home
  • Core collaboration hours: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • 4 hours of flexible time available each week

Hybrid Work Arrangement

  • Standard hybrid arrangement includes 4 days in the office and Fridays remote

Culture

  • Highly collaborative project environment
  • Strong mentorship from Senior leadership
  • Principal Architects have long tenure with the firm (12+ years)
  • Opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while developing independent project leadership skills

Why You Should Be Interested:

This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging design professional who wants meaningful project involvement, career growth, and the ability to make an impact.

What Makes This Opportunity Unique

  • Opportunity to help lead and grow the firm's interior design practice
  • Exposure to multiple projects simultaneously rather than being limited to a single studio or project type
  • Significant autonomy and ownership over project work
  • Direct client interaction and presentation opportunities
  • Strong mentorship from experienced architectural and design leaders

Benefits & Perks

  • 3 weeks of combined PTO and sick time
  • Office closure between Christmas and New Year's (provided in recent years, though not guaranteed)
  • PTO begins accruing after a 60-day waiting period
  • Year-end bonus opportunity based on company performance
  • Stable leadership team with strong employee tenure and long-term career development support
  • Annual performance and compensation reviews conducted each April

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and delivery of commercial interior design projects from concept through completion
  • Collaborate with Senior Interior Architects and project teams on design development and documentation
  • Create and maintain project documentation using Revit
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project discussions
  • Develop space planning, material selections, finish palettes, and design solutions
  • Manage multiple project assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Provide creative recommendations and independently solve design challenges
  • Build strong client relationships and create positive first impressions
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and proactively drive projects forward

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
  • 3-5 years of professional Interior Design experience
  • Commercial project experience
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Currently pursuing or actively working toward NCIDQ certification
