This position offers a fully remote work setting, allowing counselors to engage with clients from the comfort of their own environment while maintaining professional standards of care. • Conduct initial intake sessions to gather comprehensive information regarding clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings meticulously to inform treatment strategies.
• Create and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that address client-specific issues, encompassing individual, couples, family, and group therapy interventions.
• Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing and engagement, adapting techniques to suit the diverse needs of clients.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and support recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Maintain open lines of communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding the mental health needs of hospitalized clients to ensure continuity of care.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery, employing preventative strategies to address them and enhance clients' pathways to improved mental health.
• Engage and support family members and caregivers, offering guidance on managing the challenges associated with clients' mental health conditions.

You will work with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, all facing diverse mental health challenges. This may include managing conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your approach to care will be informed by an understanding of cultural sensitivities and client backgrounds, ensuring a personalized treatment process.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure in the state of Oregon as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
• A passing score on nationally recognized examinations such as the NCE or NCMHCE is essential.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively as a mental health counselor, with a strong understanding of therapeutic principles and practices.
• Proficient with electronic health record systems, preferably with familiarity in platforms such as AVATAR.
• A comprehensive grasp of mental and behavioral health conditions, particularly in relation to physical health issues and addiction therapies.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to foster therapeutic relationships and detailed documentation.

• Experience providing both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, utilizing technology to enhance client engagement.
• Knowledge of current best practices and guidelines from organizations such as the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• A solid understanding of medication effects as prescribed by other healthcare professionals in the context of mental health treatment.
